Dunki Box Office Collection Day 14: SRK’s Film To Struggle To Make 5Cr As It Crosses 200Cr Mark

The year 2024 has begun with a bang and the Indian box office has managed to leave everyone intrigued. The end of December saw the release of one of the most anticipated movies and it continues to make the headlines even as we have entered 2024. We are talking about Rajkumar Hirani directorial Dunki which features Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani in the lead. The movie is a comedy drama and is based on a relevant topic of the eponymous illegal immigration technique.

Dunki witnessed a decent start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 29.2 crores. And while Dunki saw a significant growth in numbers during the opening weekend, it has been witnessing a continuous dip in collections since Christmas, However, the second weekend and the new year celebrations came as a boon and Dunki saw a spike in collections.
And now, as the festivities have come to an end, Dunki has once again witnessed a significant drop in collections and has been struggling to make Rs 5 crores at the box office now. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Dunki made a collection of Rs 3.85 crores and managed to cross Rs 200 crores mark in India. Given the trend, Dunki is likely to earn Rs 1-3 crores today and will be seen inching towards Rs 205 crores. In fact, it has raked in Rs 11 lakhs from the early morning shows and the numbers are likely to increase in the coming days.

Interestingly, Dunki has been witnessing a box office clash with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's much talked about movie Salaar and the latter is giving it a tough fight. Yes! Salaar has managed to crush Dunki and made an opening day collection of Rs 90.7 crores after opening to rave reviews from the audience. This isn't all. Salaar, which has been helmed by ace filmmaker Prashanth Neel, has also reportedly scored Rs 175 crores at the worldwide box office on its day of release. In fact, it has raked in Rs 400 crores worldwide so far in just 4 days of release and has recently entered the coveted Rs 600 crores club worldwide.
