Dunki Box Office Collection Day 15: SRK’s Comedy Drama Remains Steady as It Inches Towards 205 Crores

The year 2024 has started on a happy note for Shah Rukh Khan after all, his last release of 2023 - Dunki - did a decent business at the box office. Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki also features Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani and is based on a relevant topic of the eponymous illegal immigration technique.

The movie did a business of Rs 11.5 crores on the last day of 2023 as per a report published in Sacnilk and started the year 2024 with an earning of Rs 9.05 crore. Although Dunki has been witnessing a continuous drop in collections post New Year celebrations, it has managed to hold a steady ground ahead of the third weekend as it is inching towards Rs 205 crores.

As per Sacnilk, Dunki made a collection of Rs 3.85 crores on day 13 (second Tuesday) and went on to earn Rs 3.3 crores on day 14 (second Wednesday) taking the over all collections to Rs 203.92 crores. Given the ongoing trend, Dunki is likely to make a collection of Rs 2-3 crores today (third Thursday) and cross Rs 205 crores mark. Interestingly, it has managed to make Rs 11 lakhs from the early morning shows and the numbers are likely to increase in the coming days.

Interestingly, Dunki has been witnessing a box office clash with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's much talked about movie Salaar and the latter is giving it a tough fight. Yes! Salaar has managed to crush Dunki and made an opening day collection of Rs 90.7 crores after opening to rave reviews from the audience. This isn't all. Salaar, which has been helmed by ace filmmaker Prashanth Neel, has also reportedly scored Rs 175 crores at the worldwide box office on its day of release. In fact, it has raked in Rs 400 crores worldwide so far in just 4 days of release and has recently entered the coveted Rs 600 crores club worldwide.
