Dunki Box Office Collection Day 16: SRK’s Film Continues To Drop Ahead Of Third Weekend; To Cross 208Cr

Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani's first collaboration Dunki has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced. After all, it came with a great ensemble of cast including King Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani in the lead and dealt with a relevant topic of the eponymous illegal immigration technique. From teaser to songs, everything about Dunki has managed to create a massive buzz in the town.

The movie has been enjoying a decent business at the box office since the first day and managed to cross Rs 100 crores mark after the first weekend. While it did witness a drop during Christmas celebrations, the New Year weekend came as a sigh of relief and Dunki managed to enter the coveted Rs 200 crores club. And while Dunki started the year 2024 on a great note, it has been witnessing a significant dip in numbers post the festivities.

In fact, Dunki has been struggling to rake in even Rs 5 crores at the box office in a single day in the second week. And now, as Dunki has entered the third week and the movie seems to struggling again. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Dunki raked in a collection of Rs 2.82 crores yesterday (day 15/third Thursday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 206.69 crores.

Given the ongoing trend, Dunki is likely to rake in Rs 1-2 crores and is expected to Rs 208 crores. It will be interesting to see if Dunki will be able to witness a decent growth during the third weekend and cross Rs 215 crores mark.

Interestingly, Dunki has been witnessing a box office clash with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's much talked about movie Salaar and the latter is giving it a tough fight. Yes! Salaar has managed to crush Dunki and made an opening day collection of Rs 90.7 crores after opening to rave reviews from the audience. This isn't all. Salaar, which has been helmed by ace filmmaker Prashanth Neel, has also reportedly scored Rs 175 crores at the worldwide box office on its day of release. In fact, it has raked in Rs 400 crores worldwide so far in just 4 days of release and has recently entered the coveted Rs 600 crores club worldwide.
