Dunki Box Office Collection Day 17: SRK’s Film Continues Likely To See Hike In Third Weekend; To Cross 210Cr

Shah Rukh Khan's recent release Dunki has been one of the biggest release of 2023 and marks King Khan's first collaboration with National Award winning filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. The movie is based on a relevant topic of the eponymous illegal immigration technique and also features Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Anil Grover and Bomal Irani in the lead. Dunki opened to mixed reviews from the audience and critics and has been doing a decent business at the box office.

While it got a decent start of Rs 29.2 crores, Dunki saw an impressive growth during the opening weekend and it crossed the Rs 100 crores mark in 4 days only. However, Christmas wasn't really merry for Dunki as it witnessed significant drop in collections ever since. Though the New Year festivities were a sigh of relief and Dunki entered the Rs 200 crore club, the second week once again witnessed a drop in numbers.

And now the Dunki is in the third week, it is likely to see some spike in collections during the third weekend. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Dunki made a collection of Rs 2.2 crores yesterday (day 16/ third Friday) which took the overall collections to Rs 208.67 crores. Given the trend, Dunki is expected to mint Rs 2-5 crores today and will be crossing Rs 210 crores mark. In fact it has minted Rs 14 lakhs from the morning shows and the numbers are likely to increase during the day.

Interestingly, Dunki has been witnessing a box office clash with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's much talked about movie Salaar and the latter is giving it a tough fight. Yes! Salaar has managed to crush Dunki and made an opening day collection of Rs 90.7 crores after opening to rave reviews from the audience. This isn't all. Salaar, which has been helmed by ace filmmaker Prashanth Neel, has also reportedly scored Rs 175 crores at the worldwide box office on its day of release. In fact, it has raked in Rs 400 crores worldwide so far in just 4 days of release and has recently entered the coveted Rs 600 crores club worldwide.
