Dunki Box Office Collection Day 18: SRK’s Film To Cross 215Cr After Decent Growth During Third Weekend

Shah Rukh Khan witnessed an incredible 2023 at the box office with three releases and his fans have been in awe of his performance in each film. He started the year with a bang with Siddharth Anand's Pathaan which set the box office on fire. Later, Atlee directorial Jawan created history and became the highest grossing movie of the year.

King Khan ended the year with Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki which also witnessed a decent response at the box office. Also starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani in the lead, Dunki was a comedy drama based on a relevant topic of the eponymous illegal immigration technique. The movie opened with a collection of Rs 29.2 crores and has been enjoying a slow but a successful run.

After crossing Rs 100 crores after 1st weekend and Rs 200 crores during the 2nd weekend, Dunki has been witnessing a continuous drop in collections. However, the third weekend came as a sigh of relief for Dunki as it has witnessed over 50% growth in collections. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Dunki raked in Rs 3.5 crores yesterday (day 17/ third Saturday) which took the overall collections to Rs 212.22 crores.

Given the trend, Animal is expected to rake in Rs 3-5 crores and cross Rs 215 crores mark at the box office today (day 18/ third Sunday). In fact, as per Sacnilk, it has raked in Rs 5 lakhs from the early morning shows so far and the numbers are likely to increase during the day.

Interestingly, Dunki has been witnessing a box office clash with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's much talked about movie Salaar and the latter is giving it a tough fight. Yes! Salaar has managed to crush Dunki and made an opening day collection of Rs 90.7 crores after opening to rave reviews from the audience. This isn't all. Salaar, which has been helmed by ace filmmaker Prashanth Neel, has also reportedly scored Rs 175 crores at the worldwide box office on its day of release. In fact, it has raked in Rs 400 crores worldwide so far in just 4 days of release and has recently entered the coveted Rs 600 crores club worldwide.
