Dunki Box Office Collection Day 21: SRK’s Film Remains Steady After Crossing 219Cr; To Mint Over 1Cr

Shah Rukh Khan, who managed to rule the box office in 2023 with three big releases (Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki), has managed to dive into 2024 on a good note. After all, Dunki, which is helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, is doing a decent business at the box office and there are no second thoughts about it. The movie went on to enter the coveted Rs 200 crores club at the box office during the New Year celebrations.

While it did witness a significant drop in collections during the second week, the the third week saw a hike in numbers and proved Dunki's hold at the ticket windows. And now that Dunki is in the third week, it is going steady at the box office. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Dunki raked in Rs 1.43 crores yesterday (day 20/ third Tuesday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 219.40 crores.

Given the ongoing trend, Dunki is expected to go steady and mint around Rs 1 crores today (day 21/ third Wednesday) and will cross the Rs 220 crores mark. In fact it has raked in Rs 7 lakhs so far from the early morning shows. With Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi's Merry Christmas hitting the theatres this week, it will be interesting to see how Dunki will fare during the third week.

Interestingly, Dunki has been witnessing a box office clash with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran's much talked about movie Salaar and the latter is giving it a tough fight. Yes! Salaar has managed to crush Dunki and made an opening day collection of Rs 90.7 crores after opening to rave reviews from the audience. This isn't all. Salaar, which has been helmed by ace filmmaker Prashanth Neel, has also reportedly scored Rs 175 crores at the worldwide box office on its day of release. In fact, it has raked in Rs 400 crores worldwide so far in just 4 days of release and has recently entered the coveted Rs 600 crores club worldwide.
