Fighter Box Office Collection Day 15: Hrithik’s Film To Fail To Beat War, Bang Bang On 3rd Thursday

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter has been one of the biggest releases of the year. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, it happens to be an aerial action drama and features the lead cast in the role of Indian Air Force Officers. From the trailer to songs, everything about Fighter has been grabbing eyeballs and leaving the fans excited.

As Fighter hit the screens on January 25, it opened to a mixed response from the audience and minted Rs 22.5 crores on the opening day. However, it witnessed a significant drop in collections post first Monday and has been struggling to hit Rs 10 crores in the first week itself. While the second weekend came as a relief for the movie, it has been struggling again during the second week hitting the lowest single day collection almost everyday

According to a report published by Sacnilk, Fighter minted Rs 2.75 crores on yesterday (day 14/ second Wednesday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 184.5 crores. Given the trend, Fighter is likely to mint Rs 1-2 crores today (day 15/third Thursday) and will cross Rs 186 crores mark.

Interestingly, Fighter will be seen failing to beat the collection of Hrithik's War and Bang Bang on its third Thursday. For the uninitiated, War had minted Rs 3.80 crores while Bang Bang collected Rs 2.78 crores. With Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya hitting the screens on February 9, it will be interesting to see if Fighter will be able to survive this competition.

Meanwhile, as Hrithik has collaborated with Deepika for the first time in Fighter, he has been all praises for the actress. Talking to ANI he said, "With Deepika, it became really easy because she brings realism in her work, so I was consciously just bouncing off her bat; each line she says is coming from a deep place, and I could tell this is real, and if I don't maintain that I might look like I am overdoing things so I had to make sure I am acting that frequency and thanks to her every scene between Patty and Minni look so extremely vulnerable, extremely endearing and very very real".
