Fighter Box Office Collection Day 16: Hrithik’s Film Struggles To Make 2Cr As Shahid-Kriti’s TBMAUJ Releases

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone have collaborated for the first time in one of the most anticipated releases of the year. We are talking about Fighter which happens to be an aerial action drama and also features Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Oberoi and Karan Singh Grover in the lead. The movie had opened to decent reviews and witnessed a good start at the box office.

After a start of Rs 22.5 crores and an impressive opening weekend, the first week turned out to be a struggle for Fighter wherein it was seen finding it difficult to cross Rs 10 crores mark on a single day as well. However, the second weekend did give a sigh of relief to the makers as Fighter managed to cross Rs 170 crores mark. But this growth was short-lived as the second week turned out to be a disaster for the movie has well. After all, it has been struggling to mint Rs 5 crores at the box office.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, as Fighter has ventured into the third week it was seen finding it a task to touch Rs 4 crores. In fact, it is reported that Fighter minted Rs 2.65 crores at the box office yesterday (day 15/ third Thursday) which took the overall collection to Rs 187.40 crores. As per the given trend, Fighter is likely to earn Rs 1-2 crores today (day 16/ third Friday).

Interestingly, Fighter will now be witnessing competition from Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya which is a science fiction romantic comedy. It will be interesting to see if Fighter will cross Rs 200 crores at the box office.

Meanwhile, as Hrithik has collaborated with Deepika for the first time in Fighter, he has been all praises for the actress. Talking to ANI he said, "With Deepika, it became really easy because she brings realism in her work, so I was consciously just bouncing off her bat; each line she says is coming from a deep place, and I could tell this is real, and if I don't maintain that I might look like I am overdoing things so I had to make sure I am acting that frequency and thanks to her every scene between Patty and Minni look so extremely vulnerable, extremely endearing and very very real".
