Fighter Box Office Collection Day 7: Hrithik Roshan-Deepika's Film Fails To Earn Rs 150 Cr In Ist Week

Fighter Box Office Collection Day 7: Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukones Films FIRST Week Performance Is Underwhelming

Fighter Box Office Collection Day 7: When Fighter released in the theatres, the industry experts expected it to smash all the box office records. After all, it had all the ingredients required for a successful film- an impressive star cast, a strong storyline and a patriotic theme. However, the performance of Siddharth Anand's directorial has been underwhelming.

REASON BEHIND FIGHTER BOX OFFICE DIP

Starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, Fighter received good reviews from the audience and critics. Despite the reviews, the numbers took a dip during weekdays in crucial belts in northern India.

Taran Adarsh took to social media to share his thoughts about the dip in numbers. He mentioned that the performance has suffered a blow in India while international markets are performing well.

'FIGHTER' SHOCKS INDIA, ROCKS OVERSEAS... The underperformance of #Fighter has sent shock waves within the industry... Imagine, the film ticks all the boxes - right from star names and director's credentials to tremendous critical acclaim and positive audience feedback... Yet, the dwindling numbers in #India are a complete shocker. To face a setback at the very start of the year is indeed worrisome," Adarsh said in his tweet.

"Having said that, while the numbers are witnessing a downward trend in #India, the biz in key international markets continue to be strong, *even on weekdays*... Markets like #USA, #Canada, #Australia and #NZ are still holding fort, even after an excellent weekend (sic)," he tweeted.

FIGHTER DAY 7 BOX OFFICE COLLECTION

According to Sacnilk, Fighter earned around Rs 6.35 crore on Wednesday, taking the total box office collection to Rs 140.35 crore. The film started on a positive note, collecting Rs 22.5 crore and later witnessed a massive rise of 75 percent on Republic Day 2024.

Despite the buzz and promotions, the movie failed to earn Rs 150 crore in its first week. Considering the early trends for day eight, it might enter the Rs 150-crore club on day nine.
