Fighter Box Office Collection Day 9: Hrithik’s Film Continues To Struggle As It Is Likely To Cross 150Cr Today

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are among the most talked about actors in Bollywood. So when the two decided to collaborate for the first time onscreen, the audience couldn't keep calm. We are talking about Siddharth Anand's Fighter which has been one of the most anticipated movies of the year and features Hrithik and Deepika playing the role of Indian Air Force Officers along with Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshaye Oberoi in key roles.
The movie opened to mixed reviews from the audience and critics and witnessed a decent response at the box office. After a collection of Rs 22.5 crores on the opening day and an earning of Rs 118 crores during the opening weekend, Fighter has been struggling at the box office and is witnessing a continuous drop in numbers. In fact, this Siddharth Anand directorial has been struggling to cross Rs 10 crores mark in the first week itself after failing the crucial Monday test.
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Fighter minted Rs 5.75 crores yesterday (day 8/ second Thursday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 146.25 crores. And given the trend, Fighter is expected to cross Rs 150 crores mark today. Yes! While Fighter continues to struggle, it is expected to mint Rs 4-5 crores today (day 9/ second Friday). It will be interesting to see if Fighter will be able to see any growth during the second weekend.
Meanwhile, Siddharth Anand recently opened up about Fighter's lacklustre performance at the box office and why it couldn't recreate Pathaan's success and stated, "Fighter is a huge leap for a filmmaker. It's a space that is unexplored and absolutely new. It has no reference point for the audience. They are like, 'What are these planes doing?"
