Indian 2 Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Superstar Kamal Haasan has been on a roll lately and rightfully so. After winning hearts with his stupendous performance in Nag Ashwin's much anticipated Kalki 2898 AD, he is now making headlines with his recent release. We are talking about the much talked about film Indian 2. Directed by S. Shankar, Indian 2 is a vigilante action film and also features Siddharth, S. J. Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Vivek, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani and Nedumudi Venu in key roles.

For the uninitiated, Indian 2 aka Hindustani 2 happens to be the much awaited sequel to the 1996 release Indian which features Kamal Haasan reprising his role of Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter turned vigilante who fights against corruption. From the trailer to the cast, everything about Indian 2 has managed to create a massive buzz in the town. And now that Indian 2 has finally hit the screens, there have been speculations about how it will fare at the box office in the Hindi market.

In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, film business expert and producer Girish Johar stated, "Kamal Haasan is a huge icon we all know that. Having said that, he has a decent kind of pull in the Hindi market. Though Indian is a brand and they are coming after a while with Shankar, so the awareness level is there. But it has a mass audience as its appeal. It is likely to open with around Rs 3 crores collection at the box office in the Hindi market".

Meanwhile, talking about Indian 2, Kamal Haasan stated that he has loved Indian 3 more. "Truth be told, the only reason why I accepted to do the second part is because of the third part only. I am a big fan of the third part. Usually, people say that they like the first half or second half of the film better than the first half. My second half is Indian 3. I have been praising the film by myself and I am only tensed that there's a six-month wait for it," he added.
