Jatt & Juliet 3 Box Office Collection Day 1: After the phenomenal success of Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa's Jatt & Juliet franchise, the team has returned with the third season after 9 years and the audience can't keep calm. We are talking about Jatt & Juliet 3 which is helmed by Jagdeep Sidhu and also features Jasmin Bajwa, B.N. Sharma, Nasir Chinyoti, Rana Ranbir, BN Sharma and Jaswinder Bhalla in the lead. Needless to say, it has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

While the trailer and the songs have managed to create immense buzz in the town, Jatt & Juliet 3 has opened to rave reviews from the audience and the critics. Fans have hailed Diljit's stupendous performance and have been in awe of his chemistry with Neeru. Interestingly, Jatt & Juliet 3 saw a good start at the box office and has managed to create a record on the opening day. Yes! You read it right.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jatt & Juliet 3 made a collection of Rs 3.25 crores on the opening day and is likely to be Diljit's highest Punjabi opener. This isn't all. Jatt & Juliet 3 has managed to beat Diljit & Shehnaaz Gill's Honsla Rakh (Rs 2.52 crores) and has recorded the second highest opening day collection after Gippy Grewal and Sonam Bajwa starrer Carry On Jatta 3. For the uninitiated, Carry On Jatta 3 made an opening day collection of Rs 4.55 crores.

Meanwhile, talking to News18, Diljit recalled how he had planned to turn down Jatt & Juliet 3. "When Jatt and Juliet 1 was being made, Darshan Singh Grewal - the producer of Jatt and Juliet - we had problems with each other. So when the movie offer came to me, I wanted to go and reject the film in person. I had gone to his office to refuse the offer because of our history. When I reached his office, he signed a blank cheque in filmy style and told me, 'Paaji, fill the amount, I want to do a film with you.' I didn't foresee this," he added.
