Jigra Box Office Collection Day 10 Prediction: Alia Bhatt is all over the headlines these days for her recent release Jigra and rightfully so. After all, it happens to be her first release of the year and is grabbing a lot of eyeballs since the first day. Helmed by Vasan Bala, Jigra is an action drama and also features Vedang Raina, Manoj Pahwa etc in key roles. The movie had hit the theatres on October 11 and opened to decent reviews.

For the uninitiated, Jigra revolves around an elder sister named Satya (played by Alia) who is on a quest to break free her younger brother Ankur (played by Vedang) as he is stuck in a foreign jail and is being tortured there. The movie narrates the story of the unconditional love among siblings and Alia's performance as Satya has managed to win millions of hearts. To note, Jigra marks Alia's first collaboration with Vedang.

Interestingly, while Jigra was witnessing a continuous drop in numbers during the first week, the second weekend came with a slight hike in numbers. After minting Rs 1.15 crores on day 8 (second Friday), Jigra saw a hike over over 50% and minted Rs 1.75 crores and took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 25.35 crores.

Given the ongoing trend, Jigra is likely to see another hike in numbers and is expected to mint Rs 2 crores. In fact, Jigra is expected to inch close to Rs 30 crores in the second weekend.

Interestingly, Jigra witnessed a box office clash with Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri starrer Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and has been struggling to beat the latter at the box office. It will be interesting to see if Jigra will be able to surpass Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video in the second week.
