Jigra Box Office Collection Day 3 Prediction: Alia Bhatt starrer Jigra has been the recent release of the month and it has been a treat to the diva's massive fan following. Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra has been an action drama presenting Alia in a never seen before role along with Vedang Raina, Sobhita Dhulipala, Manoj Pahwa, etc in key roles. To note, this happens to be Alia's first release of the year and also her first collaboration with Vasan Bala and Vedang.

For the uninitiated, Jigra features Alia in a role of an elder sister Satya Anand whose younger brother Ankur (played by Vedang) is stuck in a foreign jail and is being tortured. The movie navigates through how Satya goes to every possible extent to set her brother free. From the trailer to songs and even Alia and Vedang's performance, everything about Jigra managed to win hearts. In fact, the movie opened to mixed reviews.

After raking in an opening day collection of Rs 4.55 crores, Alia recorded her lowest opening day collection in a decade. However, Jigra saw a growth of 43.96% in the collection on day 2 (first Saturday) as it raked in Rs 6.55 crores which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 11.1 crores.

Given the ongoing trend, Jigra will be seen seeing another hike in numbers and is likely to mint Rs 7-8 crores today. If the speculations turned out to be true, Jigra is expected to cross Rs 20 crores mark during the opening weekend at the box office

To note, Jigra has been witnessing a box office clash with Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri starrer Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. However, despite all the buzz, Jigra is still struggling to beat Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. For the uninitiated, while Jigra minted Rs 4.55 crores on day 1 and Rs 6.55 crores on day 2, the numbers happened to be Rs 5.5 crores and Rs 6.9 crores on day 1 and day 2 respectively for Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. It will be interesting to see if Jigra can beat Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video in the coming days.
