Jigra Box Office Collection Day 7: Alia's Film Earns Lowest; Fails To Touch Kalank's 1st Week Numbers

Jigra Box Office Collection Day 7

Jigra Box Office Collection Day 7: Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar's much-anticipated film 'Jigra' seems to be a box office failure. Directed by Vasan Balan, the prison-break thriller drama has been struggling to pull audiences to theatres. Amid much expectation, the film hit cinemas on 11th October 2024, clashing with Rajkummar Rao-Triptii Dimri's 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video'.

Amid the box office struggle, the Alia Bhatt starrer has been hitting headlines lately for all the wrong reasons. From 'fake' box office numbers to favouritism, several accusations have been labelled against the movie.

Jigra Box Office Collection 1st Week Report

Headlined by Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, Jigra - jointly produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Alia's Eternal Sunshine Productions and Viacom18 Studios - completed its 1st week in cinemas and the box office report card seems to be disappointing unfortunately.

Jigra opened to mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, and had a below-average opening of Rs 4.5 cr in Hindi. On Saturday, the film did witness a surge in numbers and raked in Rs 6.5 cr on day 2. But since Sunday, the film has seen decline in ticket counters. According to Sacnilk, the movie supposedly recorded its lowest-single day yesterday (day 7) and managed to mint around Rs 1.25 cr (early estimates), taking the total estimated collection to Rs 22.26 cr (Hindi) in its 1st week of theatrical run.

Jigra Box Office: Alia-Karan's Film Fails To Touch Kalank's 1st Week Numbers

Alia-Karan Johar's box office reports is worse than yet another box office debacle of the actor-filmmaker duo 'Kalank' (2019). The multi-starrer biggie - boasted power-packed ensemble including Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha - was a huge box office flop. As per reports, Kalank had managed to earn Rs 78.78 cr (nett) in its 1st week.
