Jigra Box Office Collection Prediction Day 9: Alia Bhatt starrer latest jail-break thriller has been struggling at the box office. Directed by Vasan Bala and jointly produced by Dharma Productions, Eternal Sunshine Productions and Viacom18 Studios, Jigra tells the heart-wrenching story of a sister-brother duo, played by Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina.

Despite Alia's star-power and positive buzz, the film - released on October 11, 2024 - opened to mixed reviews from fans and critics alike. The movie also got embroiled in controversies amid its box office struggles.

Featuring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in the lead, Jigra has entered its 2nd week of theatrical run and there's no sign of growth in its box office earnings. As per Sacnilk, the jail-break thriller-drama collected Rs 4.5 cr in Hindi on the day of its release. On Saturday, the film saw a significant growth by over 43% but witnessed a drop in numbers on Sunday. Ever since Monday, the film has seen downward pace at ticket counters.

According to the latest Sacnilk report, Jigra numbers dropped further below and managed to earn around Rs 1.15 cr (including Hindi and Telugu languages). The total box office nett collection of Jigra now stands at approximately Rs 23.29 crores in 8 days.

Alia-Karan Johar's Jigra is struggling to even make profit at the box office. The movie clashed with Rajkummar Rao-Triptii Dimri's 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' in cinemas.

Given the current buzz, Jigra is likely to rake in somewhere between 1-1.5 cr today (day 9, second Saturday) at the box office. The film might see a slight growth today since it's the weekend.

Jigra Box Office: Will Alia-KJo's Film Surpass Kalank & Shaandaar's Numbers On 2nd Weekend?

While the hit actor-filmmaker duo, Alia-KJo have delivered several hits together over the years, they have also given two biggest flops together - 'Shaandaar' and 'Kalank'. While Shaandaar had grossed around Rs 42.8 cr in 2nd week, Kalank ended its 2nd week of theatrical journey with a collection of Rs 78.68 cr.

Given the current situation, it is highly unlikely for Jigra to surpass Kalank and Shaandaar box office numbers on the 2nd weekend.
