VVKWWV-Jigra Box Office Collection: A Dull Start For The Last Quarter Of 2024; All Eyes On BB3 & Singham Again

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video-Jigra Box Office Collection: 2024, till now, has been a strictly average year for Bollywood when it comes to box office. Only a handful of films have been successful, and the relief came with the super success of Stree 2 which has collected more than Rs. 600 crore at the box office. Now, all eyes were on the last quarter of the year (Oct-Nov-Dec). Firstly, the industry missed the date of 2nd October as there was no major release on that holiday weekend.

On Dussehra weekend this year, two biggies, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and Jigra had hit the big screens. But, clearly, both the movies have been rejected by the audiences.

In three days, Alia Bhatt starrer Jigra has collected Rs. 16.6 crore (Hindi and Telugu), and Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri starrer Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has collected Rs. 18.80 crore. Well, even on the day of Dusshera, both the films couldn't get a double-digit figure. While the weekend for the both the movies has been lukewarm, it will be interesting to see whether they will pass the Monday test and get some decent numbers during the weekdays.

In the coming weeks, there are no major releases lined up. So, the pre-Diwali period is surely going to be a dull phase at the box office for Hindi releases.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Vs Singham Again

After Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, now all eyes are on Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Both the movies are all set to release on Diwali this year, and surely it is the clash of the titans at the box office. However, it is expected that the both the movies will do well at the ticket windows. But, let's wait and watch.

If we talk about the last quarter of 2024, after Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, movies like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Singham Again, Chhaava, and Baby John are the only Hindi films that are expected to do extrenely well at the box office. While there's Pushpa 2 Hindi version also lined up, but of course, that will be counted as a South film doing well at the box office in the Hindi market.
