Kalki 2898 AD Advance Booking Collection Day 1 (Hindi): Nag Ashwin's upcoming directorial Kalki 2898 AD has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced for several reason. The movie is a dystopian science fiction film which is a multi-starrer project and it is touted to be one of the most expensive films in India. Besides, Kalki 2898 AD will be coming up with a stellar cast of Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in the lead. The movie is the first installment in the Kalki Cinematic Universe and is set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD.

Needless to say, Kalki 2898 AD is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD will be releasing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and English languages and the makers have already begun the advance booking of this sci-fi film which has received a decent response from the audience across the world. In fact, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to create a good response in the Hindi markets.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to rake in over Rs 4.6 crores in Hindi market from the advance booking and has managed to sell over 1.8 lakhs tickets. Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to beat the advance booking collections of Ajay Devgn's Shaitaan so far. To note, Shaitaan made a collection of Rs 4.14 crores from advance booking for day 1. It will be interesting to see how the final advance booking collection for day 1 will be turn out to be.

Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
