Kalki 2898 AD Advance Booking Collection USA Day 1: Deepika Padukone, who was last seen in Siddharth Anand directorial Fighter, is now making headlines for her much anticipated upcoming release. We are talking about Nag Ashwin's sci-fi action film which also features Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in the lead. To note, Kalki 2898 AD marks Deepika's first collaboration with Prabhas and the third one with megastar Amitabh Bachchan after Piki and Aarakshan.

Needless to say, Kalki 2898 AD is already creating immense buzz in the town and will be releasing on June 27 across India in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and English languages. Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD will be releasing overseas in USA on June 26 and the makers have already begun the advance booking there. According to media reports, Kalki 2898 AD has witnessed a grand opening in terms of advance booking so far.

As per a report published in Times Of India, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to sell 4200 tickets in 24 hours and made a collection of USD 135,000 which amounts to Rs 1.1 crores in India. Indeed it is a grand opening for advance booking. With 19 days left for the big release Kalki 2898 AD is expected for a massive collection with advance booking in USA itself. It will be interesting to see how it will fare in India.

Meanwhile, as Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
