Kalki 2898 AD Advance Booking Update: Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, two of the biggest stars in India, are all over the headlines and rightfully so. After all, they have collaborated for the first time for Nag Ashwin's upcoming directorial Kalki 2898 AD which is one of the most anticipating releases of the year. The movie happens to a dystopian sci-fi action film which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in the lead. After creating immense buzz in the town, Kalki 2898 AD is all set to release on June 27.

Reportedly, Kalki 2898 AD reportedly revolves around Kalki - the tenth and final avatar of the Hindu deity, Vishnu. To note, this Nag Ashwin directorial will be releasing Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and English. And while Kalki 2898 AD has managed to create a massive buzz in the town, the makers had recently begun the advance booking of the film which has witnessed a great response. In fact, as per the recent update, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to create a major record in terms of advance ticket sales.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to sold over 1 million tickets for the opening day so far and has minted over Rs 30 crores so far from advance booking. To note, with a massive opening in advance booking, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to create a record ahead of release as it sold the highest tickets for the the opening day. Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to beat Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion (6.5 Lakhs), Jawan (5.57 Lakhs), KGF Chapter 2 (5.15 Lakhs) etc.

Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
