Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection Day 11 (Hindi) Prediction: Deepika Padukone and Prabhas' first collaboration Kalki 2898 AD has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year for several reasons. The movie is helmed by ace filmmaker Nag Ashwin and also boasts a stellar cast which also includes Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in key roles and Dulqur Salmaan and Vijay Deverakonda in cameos. Set in the post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD and revolves around Kalki who is the tenth and final avatar of the Hindu deity, Vishnu.

As the movie opened to rave reviews from the audience, it witnessed a grand opening in the Hindi market. After recording an opening day collection of Rs 22.5 crores, Kalki 2898 AD went on to enter the coveted Rs 100 crores club during the opening weekend. Though Kalki 2898 AD did see a continuous drop in numbers during the first week along with a competition from Lakshya starrer Kill, it still managed to have a strong hold at the box office.

Interestingly, the second weekend did come as a major relief for Kalki 2898 AD as it is set to cross another major milestone. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD, which raked in Rs 9.4 crores on day 9 (second Friday), saw around 106% hike in collections and earned Rs 18.5 crores yesterday (day 10/ second Saturday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 190.4 crores. Given the trend, Kalki 2898 AD is likely to earn Rs 18-20 crores today (day 11/ second Sunday) and will be crossing Rs 200 crore mark at the box office.

Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
