Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection Day 3 (Hindi): Prabhas and Deepika Padukone have all the reasons to be on cloud nine these days. After all, their first collaboration Kalki 2898 AD has witnessed a thunderous opening at the box office. Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD also features Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani in the lead and has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. For the uninitiated, Kalki 2898 AD is a dystopian science fiction film and is the most expensive film of the Indian Cinema.
Set in the post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD, Kalki 2898 AD has been the most expensive film of the Indian cinema and chronicles some events of the Mahabharata in the year 3102 BC. As Kalki 2898 AD managed to create a massive buzz in the town and opened to rave reviews. In fact, this Nag Ashwin directorial saw a thunderous start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 95.3 crores all languages combined (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam).

Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD has witnessed a good start in the Hindi market as well. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD made an opening day collection of Rs 22.5 crores followed by an earning of Rs 23 crores on the second day (first Friday). This Nag Ashwin directorial saw a decent hike in numbers on the third day of release (first Saturday) wherein Kalki 2898 AD raked in Rs 27 crores which took the overall collections of the film to Rs 72.5 crores. It was evident that Kalki 2898 AD remained unfazed with the craze for India vs South Africa T20 World Cup 2024 finals. It will be interesting to see how Kalki 2898 AD will fare at the box office in the coming days. Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD has also been doing a phenomenal business worldwide as it as made a collection of Rs 298.5 crores worldwide in just 2 days of release.

Meanwhile, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
