Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection Day 4 (Hindi): Nag Ashwin's recent directorial Kalki 2898 AD has been one of the anticipated releases of the year and it has managed to set the box office on fire post release. Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan in the lead, Kalki 2898 AD is a dystopian science fiction drama which is set in the post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD. From the storyline to the cast, VFX and look of lead characters, everything about Kalki 2898 AD managed to create a massive buzz in the town.

Interestingly, amid the massive buzz, Kalki 2898 AD opened to rave reviews from the audience. In fact, this Nag Ashwin directorial, which was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages, saw a phenomenal response at the box office in all languages combined. After an opening day collection of Rs 95.3 crores, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to cross Rs 300 crores mark in India during the opening weekend. The movie also saw a good start at the box office in the Hindi market and has managed to have a good hold since the first day.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD made an opening day collection of Rs 22.5 crores in Hindi market and is touted to be highest opener of 2024. The movie saw slight growth on the second day (first Friday) wherein it raked in Rs 23 crores followed by an impressive hike on the third day of release (first Saturday) with a collection of Rs 26 crores. Kalki 2898 AD maintained its winning streak during the opening weekend and crossed Rs 100 crores mark as it minted Rs 39 crores on day 4 (first Sunday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 110.5 crores in the Hindi market.

Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to beat Fighter on day 4 as it has recorded the highest day 4 collection of 2024. For the uninitiated, Fighter had minted Rs 29 crores on its day 4. Besides, Kalki 2898 AD has even crossed Rs 487.5 crores worldwide so far and went on to cross Rs 500 crores worldwide during the opening weekend.

Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
