Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection Day 4 (Hindi) Prediction: Nag Ashwin's recent directorial Kalki 2898 AD, starring Deepika Padukone and Prabhas in the lead, has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan in key roles, Kalki 2898 AD is a dystopian science fiction film which is set in the post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD. Made with a staggering budget of Rs 600 crores, Kalki 2898 AD is touted to be the most expensive film of the Indian cinema.
As this Nag Ashwin directorial was released amid massive buzz, it managed to open to rave reviews with fans in awe of the storyline, Prabhas and Deepika's performance and more. In fact, many called Amitabh Bachchan's performance as Ashwatthama a show stealer of the film. To note, Kalki 2898 AD was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages and it managed to set the box office on fire in all languages.

Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD saw a great start at the box office in Hindi market with an opening day collection of Rs 22.5. It went on to see a slight growth on the second day (first Friday) wherein it minted Rs 23 crores followed by a collection of Rs 27 crores on day 3 (first Saturday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 72.5 crores. Given the trends, Kalki 2898 AD is likely to see another hike in numbers during the opening weekend and will be crossing Rs 100 crores mark in Hindi market today (day 4/ first Sunday).
To note, Kalki 2898 AD has managed to cross Rs 220 crores mark overall in India and will be seen inching close to Rs 300 crores mark during the opening weekend. This isn't all. Kalki 2898 AD has also been doing a phenomenal business worldwide as it has made a collection of Rs 298.5 crores worldwide in just 2 days of release.
Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
