Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection Day 5 (Hindi): Deepika Padukone and Prabhas' recent collaboration Kalki 2898 AD has been one of the most talked about and biggest releases of the year. Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD also featured Disha Patani, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in key roles and it happens to be one of the most expensive films of Indian cinema. To note Kalki 2898 AD is set in the post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD and revolves around revolves around Kalki who is the tenth and final avatar of the Hindu deity, Vishnu.

From the star cast, performances and the VFX, everything about Kalki 2898 AD has managed to win hearts. To note Kalki 2898 AD was released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages and it has managed to create a buzz in every language. In fact, it saw a decent start at the box office in Hindi market with an opening day collection of Rs 22.5 crores. Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD saw a significant hike in collections during the opening weekend wherein it managed to cross Rs 100 crores mark.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD made a collection of Rs 26 crores on day 3 (first Saturday) followed by an earning of Rs 40 crores on day 4 (first Sunday). Interestingly, this Nag Ashwin directorial saw its first drop in numbers on first Monday (Day 4) of over 58% as it minted Rs 16.5 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 128 crores.

As Kalki 2898 AD is maintaining a strong hold at the box office, it has recorded the highest first Monday collection of 2024. This isn't all. This Prabhas starrer has also recorded the highest 5th day collection of 2024 and has also managed to beat RRR and Adipurush. For the uninitiated, RRR had minted Rs 15.02 crores on fifth day of release while Adipurush had raked in Rs 5.5 crores. Besides, Kalki 2898 AD has also managed to mint over Rs 555 crores worldwide. It will be interesting to see how Kalki 2898 AD will fare at the box office in the first week.

Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD has reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process
