Kalki 2898 AD Box Office Collection Day 7 (Hindi) Prediction: It's been a week since Deepika Padukoner and Prabhas' much talked about film Kalki 2898 AD had hit the theatres. Also starring Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani, this Nag Ashwin directorial is a dystopian science fiction film which was made a staggering budget of Rs 600 crores. The movie has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year and it opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics.

Interestingly, Kalki 2898 AD managed to set the box office of on first since the first day in Hindi market and as the movie has completing a week at the box office, it refuses to slow down anytime soon. The dystopian science fiction film made an opening day collection of Rs 22.5 crores in Hindi market and saw a phenomenal growth at the box office during the opening weekend wherein it entered the coveted Rs 100 crores club. And while Kalki 2898 AD saw its first drop in numbers on its first Monday, it is set to cross another milestone in the first week.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kalki 2898 AD made saw a drop of over 50% on day 5 (first Monday) and minted Rs 16.5 crores. This was followed by another dip in numbers on day 6 (first Tuesday) as Kalki 2898 AD earned Rs 14 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 142 crores. Given the ongoing trend, Kalki 2898 AD is likely to mint Rs 10-14 crores today (day 7/ first Wednesday) and will be crossing Rs 150 crores mark at the box office in the first week. It will be interesting to see if Kalki 2898 AD will manage to cross Rs 200 crore mark ahead of the second weekend. Besides, Kalki 2898 AD has also crossed Rs 625 crores mark worldwide and is likely to inch close to Rs 700 crores mark in the first week.

Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD will reportedly chronicle some events of the Mahabharata in the year of 3102 BC, Nag Ashwin in his interaction with Deadline stated that the movie "does not involve any characters actively worshipped by large numbers of Hindus". He further asserted, "We can take it as extremely religious or we can take it as the story of somebody who was born with a lot of power, didn't know what to do with it, and found his mentor in the process".
