In the year 2898 AD, the city of Kasi stands as the sole remaining urban centre in a desolate world, governed by a totalitarian elite under the divine leadership of Supreme Yaskin. They command from a hovering inverted-pyramidal megastructure known as the "Complex." Set against the backdrop of ancient Indian Hindu mythology and a dystopian society, the narrative spans millennia, from the events of the Mahabharata in 3102 BC, marking the beginning of Kali Yuga, to 2898 AD. At its heart is the arrival of Kalki, an enigmatic figure and the tenth and final avatar of the Hindu deity Vishnu.
