Kanguva Box Office Collection Day 13 (Hindi): Suriya’s Film Mints Less Than Half Of Jailer On 2nd Tuesday

Kanguva Box Office Collection Day 13 (Hindi): Suriya has been making headlines ever since his recent release Kanguva had hit the screens. Directed by Siva, Kanguva is an epic fantasy action drama which also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in the lead. The movie marks Bobby and Disha's much awaited Tamil debut and also features Masoor Ali Khan, Karunas, Yogi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, K. S. Ravikumar, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala and Ravi Raghavendra in key supporting roles.

To note, Kanguva features Suriya in a double role as the story revolves around Francis Theodore (played by Suriya), a bounty hunter in 2024, whose connection with a child is mysteriously connected to a fierce tribal warrior's promise to a child in the year 1070. From the cast to the trailer, Kanguva has managed to create a massive buzz in the town. Interestingly, Kanguva was released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages and it opened to decent reviews

After witnessing a decent hike in collections on the second weekend, Kanguva saw a significant drop in collections on the second Monday. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kanguva minted Rs 13 lakhs on second Monday (day 12) in the Hindi market followed by a collection of Rs 13 lakhs again on second Tuesday (day 13) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 17.01 crores

Kanguva Fails To Beat Jailer On Second Tuesday

Interestingly, Kanguva, which is being constantly compared to other big releases like Rajinikanth starrer Jailer, is undoubtedly struggling at the box office. In fact, it has minted less than half of Jailer's collection on the second Tuesday. For the uninitiated, Jailer had minted Rs 30 lakhs on its second Tuesday.

Meanwhile, talking about Kanguva, Bobby Deol told Gulf News, "I am just so excited, and what better way to start your career in the Tamil industry than with a film like Kanguva and to work with Suriya. I am his big fan, and he's such a sweetheart. He's an amazing person. The best part was being on this set surrounded by a down-to-earth and humble director, cast, and crew. I never felt out of place because they made me feel comfortable".
