Kanguva Box Office Day 10 (Hindi): Suriya’s Film Fails To Paces Up In 2nd Weekend; Struggles To Mint 20L

Kanguva Box Office Collection Day 10 (Hindi): Suriya starrer Kanguva has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced for several reasons. While the movie happens to be an epic fantasy drama, Kanguva marks Bobby Deol and Disha Patani's respective Tamil debut. Directed by Siva, Kanguva featured Suriya in a double role and also starred Yogi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Karunas, K. S. Ravikumar, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Mansoor Ali Khan and Ravi Raghavendra in key supporting roles.

From trailer to cast, Kanguva has managed to create a massive buzz in the town. Interestingly, Kanguva revolves around Francis Theodore (played by Suriya), a bounty hunter in 2024, whose connection with a child is mysteriously connected to a fierce tribal warrior's promise to a child in the year 1070. Interestingly, the movie has hit the screens in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. As Kanguva has managed to release a massive buzz, it seems to be struggling in the Hindi market

To note, Kanguva has been struggling to touch Rs 1 crores since the first Monday and the second week started with a massive drop in numbers for this Suriya starrer saw struggled to mint Rs 50 lakhs in a day. While there were hopes about Kanguva picking up pace during the second weekend, the movie failed to see a hike on second Saturday and struggled to earn Rs 20 lakhs. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kanguva minted Rs 20 lakhs on second Friday (day 9) and saw drop in numbers on second Saturday (day 10) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 13.74 crores

Kanguva Mints Half Of Jailer's Collection

Interestingly, as Kanguva has been compared to Jailer, Vettaiyan and The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), it has failed to beat the three films on second Saturday. In fact, Kanguva had minted half of Jailer's collection on the second Saturday. For the uninitiated, Jailer had earned Rs 45 lakhs on its second Saturday of release.
