Khadaan Vs Shontaan (Bengali) Box Office Collection Day 5: It's gala time in the Bengali film industry with several blockbuster releases in the last couple of months. Among the array of releases last week, 'Khadaan' and 'Shontaan' have been grabbing a lot of attention in Bengal. Two of Bengali superstars Dev and Subhashree Ganguly locked horns at the box office with their respective highly-anticipated films, Khadaan and Shontaan. Both the films released on big screens on 20th December and managed to impress the audience with its captivating storyline.
Khadaan Box Office Collection Day 5
Written and directed by Soojit Dutta, the Bengali-language action-thriller features Dev in the lead alongside Jisshu Sengupta, Barkha Bisht, Idhika Paul and Anirban Chakrabarty. The film, marking Dev's return to the massy genre, opened to mostly positive reviews from everyone and collected Rs 68 lakhs on the day of its release, as per Sacnilk.
Due to the positive word-of-mouth, the film saw massive growth in the weekend and earned Rs 76 lakhs on Saturday, followed by Rs 1.12 cr on Sunday. On Monday, the film saw dip in numbers but held strong with a nett collection of Rs 57 lakhs. According to Sacnilk, Khadaan scored around Rs 54 lakhs yesterday (1st Tuesday), taking the total nett collection to Rs 3.67 cr in 5 days.

Shontaan Box Office Collection Day 5
Starring Mithun Chakraborty, Anashua Majumdar, Ritwick Chakraborty and Subhashree Ganguly in the lead, the Raj Chakrabarty directorial opened to a box office collection of Rs 11 lakhs. As per Sacnilk, the emotional family-drama went to mint around Rs 18 lakhs on Saturday (day 2) and Rs 31 lakhs on Sunday (day 3), followed by Rs 12 lakhs on Monday. According to Sacnilk, the film managed to see slight growth in numbers on Tuesday and earned approximately Rs 14 lakhs yesterday. The total 5-day nett collection now stands at Rs 86 lakhs.

As per the box office report card, it's Deb who is leading the highly-anticipated December clash over Subhashree. Dev starrer Khadaan is running ahead of Subhashree's Shontaan by a massive margin of Rs 2.81 cr approx.
