Khel Khel Mein Box Office Collection Day 4: Akshay’s Film Fails To Touch 15Cr In 1st Weekend Amid Stree 2 Buzz

Khel Khel Mein Box Office Collection Day 4: Akshay Kumar's dry spell at the box office doesn't seem to stop anytime soon and there are no second thoughts about it. Helmed by Mudassar Aziz, Khel Khel Mein has been a multi-starrer Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan etc, the movie has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. In fact, Khel Khel Mein happens to be Akshay's third release of the year after Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Sarfira.

Despite mixed reviews from the audience, Khel Khel Mein saw a slow start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 5.05 crores and has been struggling at the box office ever since. After witnessing almost 60% drop in numbers on second day (first Friday), Khel Khel Mein, which witnessed a box office clash with Stree 2 tried to pick up pace during the opening weekend but did witness a hard time from Rajkummar Rao's horror comedy.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Khel Khel Mein minted Rs 3.1 crores on day 3 (first Saturday) followed by a slight hike in numbers on day 4 (first Sunday) wherein it earned Rs 3.75 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 13.95 crores. It is evident that Khel Khel Mein failed to touch Rs 15 crores mark at the box office in its opening weekend.

To note, while Khel Khel Mein happens to be Akshay's third release of 2024, it has failed to bring his spark back at the ticket windows once again. In fact, Khel Khel Mein failed to beat the day 4 (first Sunday) collection of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which happened to be around Rs 9.5 crores. Looks like Akshay's fans will have to wait a little longer for a blockbuster from the superstar. It is worth mention that Khel Khel Mein has been crushed by Stree 2 which has crossed Rs 190 crores during the opening weekend.

Meanwhile, talking about Khel Khel Mein clash with John's Vedaa, Akshay had stated, "Clashes at the box office keep happening. It's not a big deal at all. It's just a clash and not a slash"
