Khel Khel Mein Box Office Collection Day 5: Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu starrer Khel Khel Mein has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced for several reasons. To begin with, this Mudassar Aziz directorial happens to be Akshay's third release of the year after Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Sarfira. Besides, Khel Khel Mein also came with an interesting ensemble of contestants including Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan etc.

For the uninitiated, Khel Khel Mein happens to be the official Bollywood remake of Italian film Perfect Strangers. And while Khel Khel Mein has managed to create a buzz with its impressive trailer and peppy soundtrack, the movie opened to mixed reviews from the audience. Amid witnessing a box office clash with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 and John Abraham's Vedaa, Khel Khel Mein witnessed a slow start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 5.05 crores.

While Khel Khel Mein saw a slight jump in numbers during the opening weekend, the movie was seen struggling at the box office on the first Monday. According to a report published, Khel Khel Mein was saw a tremendous drop in numbers of over 50% and raked in Rs 1.9 crores which took the overall collections of the film to Rs 15.95 crores. To note, Khel Khel Mein has failed to beat the day 5 collection of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Sarfira which happened to be Rs 2.5 crores and Rs 1.95 crores respectively.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar has locked horns with John Abraham for the third time on Independence Day 2024 as Khel Khel Mein clashed with Vedaa. Meanwhile, talking about Khel Khel Mein clash with John's Vedaa, Akshay had stated, "Clashes at the box office keep happening. It's not a big deal at all. It's just a clash and not a slash"
