Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary starrer Laila Majnu became the box-office dud upon its release in 2018. However, after it was re-released on August 9, the movie has garnered 3.60 Cr gross in 5 days surpassing its own original run, which collected 3.20 Cr in its lifetime.

The film started slow by collecting Rs. 25 lakh on first Friday, then 75 lakh on its second day. It witnessed the sudden boost on day 3 by collecting Rs. 1.15 Cr approx. On day 4 and day 5, it minted Rs. 70 lakh and 80 lakh respectively. The total box office collection on day 5 stands better than even Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rockstar re-release, which collected 10 Cr in India.

However, the film is yet to surpass Janhvi Kapoor's thriller drama, Ulajh, which collected over Rs. 6.2 Cr at the box office on day 5. Considering this, the film has minted half of that.
