Amid much anticipation, both Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan released in cinema son April 11, 2024. Ever since the release, both the movies have been struggling to rake in moolah. Maidaan, directed by Amit Sharma, is made on a whopping budget of Rs 350 crores. The film is based on the life of the football legend Syed Abdul Rahim with Devgn essaying the titular role.
Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is an action-packed masala-entertainer revolves around the story of two Indian army officers who embark on a deadly mission to fight against India's most dangerous enemy, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The budget of this Ali Abbas Zafar directorial is said to be around Rs 250 crores.
Maidaan Vs BMCM Box Office Collection Day 23 Report
Devgn's Maidaan had opened to a box office collection of Rs 7.1 crores (including Rs 2.6 cr earned from the paid reviews conducted on the previous day if its official release date), while Akki-Tiger's film raked in Rs 15.65 crores (Hindi - 15.5 cr; Tamil - 0.08 cr; Telugu - 0.05 cr; Kannada - 0.01 cr; Malayalam - 0.01 cr).
According to the latest report published by Sacnilk, Maidaan has collected double than BMCM on its 4th Friday. Reportedly, Devgn's film minted around Rs 50 lakhs (early estimates) and the Akki starrer manged to rake in around Rs 25 lakhs only. Both the films witnessed a decline on day 23.
The total estimated collection of Maidaan is now at Rs 46.1 crores (early estimates), while BMCM stands at Rs 62.65 crores (Hindi - 62 cr; Tamil - 35 cr; Telugu - 28 cr; Kannada - 0.01 cr; Malayalam - 0.01 cr) in 23 days.
Maidaan and BMCM collected Rs 7.3 cr and Rs 3.9 cr respectively in its 3rd week.
