Merry Christmas Box Office Update: After the success of Badlapur and Andhadhun, director Sriram Raghavan returned to enthrall audiences with his latest project, Merry Christmas. Starring Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, the film, announced in 2021, finally premiered in theaters on Friday (January 12).
Filmed simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil, Merry Christmas is receiving acclaim as an engaging suspense thriller. Anticipation was high among fans for its theatrical release, marking it as the first significant Bollywood film of 2024. With positive reviews from both critics and moviegoers, there was heightened expectation that Merry Christmas would have a respectable opening at the box office. However, the thriller opened to low occupancy.

On Friday, the movie had a slow start, collecting Rs 2.55 crore at the box office. However, as expected, Merry Christmas witnessed a decent jump on the second day of its release. Benefiting from positive feedback from both audiences and critics, Merry Christmas experienced a notable growth of 37%, accumulating an estimated Rs 3.50 crore on Saturday (January 13), according to industry tracker Sacnilk.com.
Consequently, the film's India net collection for the two days now stands at Rs 6.05 crore. However, the official figures are still awaited.
MERRY CHRISTMAS BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY 3 PREDICTION
As most of the reviews are in favor of Merry Christmas, the film is expected to witness a major jump on Sunday and is likely to earn between Rs 4.50-5 crore. This means the first weekend of Sriram Raghavan's latest thriller is going to be around Rs 10 crore (approx). However, it's our prediction and let's see how the film fares on the third day of its theatrical release.
