Mr and Mrs Mahi Box Office Collection Day 12 Prediction: Janhvi’s Film Struggles As Munjya Gains Momentum

Mr and Mrs Mahi Box Office Collection Day 12 Prediction: Janhvi Kapoor, who made her big debut with Dhadak in 2018, has successfully carved a niche for herself as an actress. The diva has won hearts with her impressive performances in movies like Roohi, Mili, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl etc. And now she is making headlines for her recent release Mr and Mrs Mahi which is helmed by Sharan Sharma and happens to be a sports romantic drama. Also starring Rajkummar Rao in the lead, the movie marks Janhvi's second collaboration with the Stree star and directory Sharan Sharma after Roohi and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl respectively.

As the movie managed to create a substantial buzz with its cast, storyline and songs, it did open to rave reviews from the audience. In fact, with an opening day collection of Rs 6.75 crores, Mr and Mrs Mahi becameJanhvi and Rajkummar's second highest openers after Dhadak and Stree respectively. However, despite good reviews and a positive word of mouth, Mr and Mrs Mahi has been struggling at the box office since the first week itself and didn't even cross Rs 25 crores mark in seven days of release.

While Mr and Mrs Mahi did saw some hike on second Saturday (day 9), the second Sunday came with another unexpected blow for the film. According to a report published in Sacnilk, after a dip of 6% in numbers and collection of Rs 2 crores on day 10 (second Sunday), Mr and Mrs Mahi struggled to survive on the second Monday. Reportedly the film saw a drop of 55% in numbers and minted merely Rs 90 lakhs (second Monday/ day 11) taking the overall collection of the movie to Rs 30.8 crores.

Given the trend, Mr and Mrs Mahi will continue to struggle and is likely to mint Rs 80-85 lakhs today (day 12/ second Tuesday). To note, this Rajkummar and Janhvi starrer is facing a tough competition from Sharvari and Abhay Verma's Munjya which is not just winning hearts but is also gaining gradual momentum at the box office.

Meanwhile, Janhvi is over the moon about the love coming her way post Mr and Mrs Mahi release. Talking about the same, she stated, "Your love has motivated me to keep going and keep working even harder and pushing myself in my craft. Your love is worth everything!
