Mr and Mrs Mahi Box Office Collection Day 5: Janhvi’s Film Maintains Strong Hold On 1st Tuesday; Crosses 20Cr

Mr and Mrs Mahi Box Office Collection Day 5: Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Mr and Mrs Mahi has been one of the most talked about and anticipated movies of the year. After all, the movie marks the duo's second collaboration after the 2021 release horror comedy Roohi. Directed by Sharan Sharma, Mr and Mrs Mahi revolves around a couple and their obsession with the game of cricket. As the movie managed to create a substantial buzz in the town, it opened to rave reviews from the audience.

With an opening day collection of Rs 6.75, Mr and Mrs Mahi has emerged as Janhvi and Rajkummar's second highest opener so far after Dhadak and Stree respectively. And while the movie did struggle a bit during the opening weekend, it did manage to cross Rs 16 crores mark after a decent jump in numbers on the first Sunday (day 3) wherein it raked in 5.5 crores. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Mr and Mrs Mahi minted Rs 2.15 crores on Monday (day 4). Interestingly, day 5 (first Tuesday) also came with a slight drop in numbers as it raked in Rs 2.02 crores and took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 21.02 crores. It is evident that Mr and Mrs Mahi is trying to hold a strong foot at the box office.

Meanwhile, talking about his character in Mr and Mrs Mahi, Rajkummar stated, "My character's name is Mahendra, he is a failed cricketer, he had a lot of passion in his life for cricket, he wanted to be a cricket player one day and play for the country, but it didn't happen because of peer pressure, because of family pressure, so today he is walking on the path shown by his father and then they get married, Mahima and Mahendra. And then how he lived his dream through her. Because she used to play cricket, so he decides that he will train her and she is a doctor".
