Mr and Mrs Mahi Box Office Collection Day 9: Rajkummar-Janhvi’s Film Sees 65% Growth Despite Clash With Munjya

Mr and Mrs Mahi Box Office Collection Day 9: Rajkummar Rao is over cloud nine these days and rightfully so. After all, his first release Srikanth managed to win millions of hearts across the world and his recent release is also grabbing a lot of eyeballs. We are talking about Mr and Mr Mahi which also features Janhvi Kapoor in the lead along with Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Purnendu Bhattacharya, Zarina Wahab, Arjit Taneja and Yamini Das in supporting roles. To note, Mr and Mrs Mahi marks Rajkummar and Janhvi's second collaboration after the 2021 release Roohi.

Directed by Sharan Sharma, Mr and Mrs Mahi is a sports romantic drama which revolves around a couple who share the same nick name Mahi and is obsessed with the game of cricket. The movie grabbed a lot of eyeballs ever since it was announced and opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics. In fact, fans have terms Mr and Mrs Mahi as their career best performance. Interestingly, Mr and Mrs Mahi has saw a good opening and recorded Rs 6.75 crores on the day of release.

While Mr and Mrs Mahi turned out to be Rajkummar and Janhvi's second highest opener, it was seen witnessing continuous drop in numbers during the first week. However, the second weekend has come up with a sigh of relief. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Mr and Mrs Mahi, which minted Rs 1.3 crores on day 8 (second Friday) saw a growth of over 65% and minted Rs 2.15 crores on day 9 (second Saturday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 27.98 crores. Interestingly, Mr and Mrs Mahi is facing a competition from Sharvari and Abhay Verma's Munjya and it will be interesting to see how the sports romantic drama will fare at the box office in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Janhvi is over the moon about the love coming her way post Mr and Mrs Mahi release. Talking about the same, she stated, "Your love has motivated me to keep going and keep working even harder and pushing myself in my craft. Your love is worth everything!
