Munjya Box Office Collection Day 10: Sharvari’s Film Crosses 50Cr Mark As It Shines Bright During 2nd Weekend

Munjya Box Office Collection Day 10: Bollywood's new sensation Abhay Verma is all over the headlines these days and rightfully so. The cute actor, who became a household name with his stint in Manoj Bajpayee's The Family Man 2, is now winning hearts with his big screen debut with Munjya. Also starring Sharvari, Suhas Joshi, Mona Singh and Sathyaraj in key roles, Munjya is a horror comedy which is based on the legend of Munjya which is inspired by Indian folklore. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya is the fourth film of Maddock Supernatural Universe after Stree, Roohi and Bhediya.

While the trailer had managed to create a massive buzz in the town with a spooky story and the incredible VFX work by Prime Focus, Munjya opened to rave reviews from the audience. Everyone has been in absolute awe of the storyline and Abhay's performance and chemistry with Sharvari and Mona Singh. As Munjya is winning hearts, it has managed to set the box office on fire. After recording an opening day collection of Rs 4 crores, Munjya witnessed a terrific opening weekend.

Though Munjya did see a significant drop in numbers on first Monday, the horror comedy refused to good hold at the box office and has been roaring loud at the box office. After minting Rs 35.3 crores at the box office in the first week, Munjya minted Rs 3.5 crores on second Friday (Day 8) followed by over 85% growth in numbers on day 9 (second Saturday) wherein it minted Rs 6.5 crores. Interestingly, Munjya didn't stop here and went on to mint Rs 8.5 crores on second Sunday (day 10) taking the overall collection of the movie to Rs 53.8 crores. It will be interesting to see how Munjya will fare at the box office in the second week amid competition from Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion

Meanwhile, talking about her character in Munjya, Sharvari told ETimes, "My character is a modern girl who wants to achieve her dreams and prioritises them before everything else, which I think we all do nowadays. Many girls will relate to my character. Her dating life is also quite confusing, many girls will relate to that too. A very beautifully written character".
