Munjya Box Office Collection Day 12: Sharvari’s Film Crosses 60Cr; Beats Stree On 2nd Tuesday

Munjya Box Office Collection Day 12: Sharvari and Abhay Verma are all over the headlines these days and rightfully so. After all, their first collaboration Munjya has been creating a massive buzz at the box office. Helmed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya is a horror comedy which is based on the legend of Munjya which is inspired by Indian folklore. The movie happens to be the fourth film of Maddock Supernatural Universe after Stree, Roohi and Bhediya and has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Also starring Suhasini Joshi, Taranjot Singh, Mona Singh and Sathyaraj in key roles, Munjya has been roaring loud at the box office since the first day. From the storyline to the impressive VFx work, Munjya has managed to win millions of hearts since the first day. The horror comedy has recorded an opening day collection of Rs 4 crores and the movie has been going strong during the opening weekend followed by an impressive first week collection.

Interestingly, Munjya saw a significant hike in numbers during the second weekend and managed to cross Rs 50 crores mark at the box office. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Munjya minted saw a slight dip in numbers on the second Monday wherein it raked in Rs 5.25 crores (day 11). This was followed by another dip in numbers on day 12 (second Tuesday) wherein Munjya earned Rs 3.40 as per early estimates and took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 62.45 crores. To note, Munjya has managed to beat Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree which had minted Rs 3.22 crores on its second Tuesday.

Meanwhile, talking about her character in Munjya, Sharvari told ETimes, "My character is a modern girl who wants to achieve her dreams and prioritises them before everything else, which I think we all do nowadays. Many girls will relate to my character. Her dating life is also quite confusing, many girls will relate to that too. A very beautifully written character".
