Munjya Box Office Collection Day 14: Sharvari’s Film Continues Strong Hold; Inches Close To 70Cr Mark

Munjya Box Office Collection Day 14: Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films have successfully carved a niche in the horror comedy genres with movies like Stree, Roohi and Bhediya. And now they have come with the fourth installment of their supernatural universe and the audience can't keep calm about it. We are talking about Munjya starring Abhay Verma, Sharvari, Mona Singh, Suhasini Joshi, Taranjot Singh and Sathyaraj in key roles. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya is based on the legend of Munjya which is inspired by Indian folklore.

Be it Abhay and Sharvari's performance, the spooky storyline or the CGI titular character, everything about Munjya has been grabbing eyeballs. As Munjya opened to rave reviews from the audience, it has been maintaining a strong hold at the box office since the first day. After recording an opening day collection of Rs 4 crores, Munjya saw an impressive opening weekend at the box office followed by crossing the Rs 50 crores during the second weekend.

Interestingly, as Munjya has completed two weeks of release at the box office, it is maintaining a good hold and refuses to slow down despite competition from Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Munjya minted minted Rs 3.4 crores on day 12 (second Tuesday) and raked in Rs 3 crores on day 13 (second Wednesday). The horror comedy further saw another drop in numbers and minted Rs 2.50 crores on day 14 (second Thursday) as per early estimates which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 67.95 crores. It will be interesting to see how Munjya will fare in the coming days.

Meanwhile, talking about Munjya's success, Sharvari stated, "My producer Dinesh Vijan and my director Aditya Sarpotdar had an insanely massive aim to deliver a theatrical experience like no other through Munjya. The were clear that the CGI character needed to wow people and Dinesh sir went to the best VFX company to fulfil their vision. I was blown away when I saw the CGI character in the film and the audience is feeling the same too which is why our film is such a huge blockbuster".
