Munjya Box Office Collection Day 16: Sharvari’s Film Beats Fighter, Shaitaan; Creates THIS Record In Week 3

Munjya Box Office Collection Day 16: Abhay Verma is the new crush of the young girls and there are no second thoughts about it. The chocolate boy with curly hair made his way into millions of hearts with his stint in Manoj Bajpayee starrer The Family Man 2, is now making headlines for his recent release Munjya which is ruling the box office since the first day. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya is a horror comedy which also stars Sharvari, Suhasini Joshi, Mona Singh, Sathyaraj and Taranjot Singh.
Based on the legend of Munjya which is inspired by Indian folklore, Munjya is the fourth installment of their supernatural universe after Stree, Roohi and Bhediya and it had opened to rave reviews since the first day itself. From Abhay's innocent acting to Sharvari's panache, Mona's chemistry with Abhay, the storyline and of course the VFX work, everything about Munjya has managed to win hearts. In fact, the horror comedy has managed to make an opening day collection of Rs 4 crores and has been going strong at the box office since the first day.
After an impressive week 1, Munjya saw an impressive hike at the box office during second weekend wherein it crossed Rs 50 crores mark. While week 2 saw some drop in numbers, it did manage to have a good hold at the box office and managed to cross. And now, Munjya is going strong at the box office during the third weekend. According to a report published in Sacnilk, after a collection of Rs 3 crores on day 15 (third Friday), Munjya saw over 83% jump in numbers on day 16 (third Saturday).
It is reported that Munjya minted Rs 5.5 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 76.45 crores. As Munjya continues to go strong at the box office, it has managed to beat Fighter and Shaitaan on third Saturday and record the highest collection on third Saturday in 2024. For the uninitiated, Fighter had minted Rs 3.65 crores on its third Saturday while Shaitaan raked in Rs 4.5 crores. As Munjya is going strong at the box office, it will be interesting to see how it will fare in the coming days.
Meanwhile, talking about Munjya's success, Sharvari stated, "My producer Dinesh Vijan and my director Aditya Sarpotdar had an insanely massive aim to deliver a theatrical experience like no other through Munjya. The were clear that the CGI character needed to wow people and Dinesh sir went to the best VFX company to fulfil their vision. I was blown away when I saw the CGI character in the film and the audience is feeling the same too which is why our film is such a huge blockbuster".
