Munjya Box Office Collection Day 2: Sharvari’s Film Sees 81% Hike On Saturday; Fails To Beat Stree, Shaitaan

Munjya Box Office Collection Day 2: Sharvari, who made her debut with the 2021 release Bunty Aur Babli 2, is now making headlines for her recent release which has taken the theatres with a storm. We are talking about Aditya Sarpotdar's directorial Munjya which is a horror comedy based on the legend of Munjya which is inspired by Indian folklore. The movie also features Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, Suhas Joshi and Sathyaraj in the lead and is the fourth film of Maddock Supernatural Universe.
As the teaser and trailer created a massive buzz in the town, Munjya turned out ot be an anticipated release of the year. Interestingly, Munjya opened to rave reviews from the audience and left everyone intrigued. The horror comedy saw an impressive opening of Rs 4 crores and emerged as Sharvari's highest opener. In fact, Munjya has been doing the rounds for its positive word of mouth and it is evident with the impressive spike in box office numbers on the second day.
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Munjya saw a jump of over 81% and raked in Rs 7.25 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 11.25 crores. While it is a huge jump for Munjya, it has failed to beat the second day collections of Rajkummar Rao's Stree and Ajay Devgn's Shaitaan. For the uninitiated, Stree had minted Rs 10.87 crores while Shaitaan raked in Rs 18.75 crores.
Meanwhile, talking about her character in Munjya, Sharvari told ETimes, "My character is a modern girl who wants to achieve her dreams and prioritises them before everything else, which I think we all do nowadays. Many girls will relate to my character. Her dating life is also quite confusing, many girls will relate to that too. A very beautifully written character".
