Munjya Box Office Collection Day 3: Sharvari’s Film Sees Hike & Mints Half Of Stree’s 1st Sunday Numbers

Munjya Box Office Collection Day 3: Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, who have won hearts with their horror comedies like Stree, Roohi and Behdiya, are now grabbing eyeballs for their recent production Munjya which has been the talk of the town for a while now. Starring Sharvari, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, Suhas Joshi and Sathyaraj, Munjya is inspired by Indian folklore and has opened to rave reviews. In fact, it recorded the opening day collection of Rs 4 crores and became Sharvari's highest opener.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya has been winning hearts not just with the impressive storyline and performances but also with the incredible VFX. Interestingly, fans have also been lauding new comer Abhay Verma's acting chops and his chemistry with Mona Singh and Sharvari. The good reviews and positive word of mouth resulted in stupendous hike for Munjya on the second day (first Saturday) wherein it minutes Rs 7.25 crores.
Interestingly, according to a report published in Sacnilk, Munjya saw a slight growth on day 3 (first Sunday) as well wherein it raked in Rs 7.75 crores and took the overall collection to Rs 19 crores. To note this happens to be around half of the collection of Rajkummar Rao's Stree which had minted Rs 14.57 crores. While another huge jump in collections was expected on Sunday, looks like Munjya's run was impacted by the competition from Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's Mr and Mrs Mahi along with the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match. It will be interesting to see how Munjya will fare in the coming days at the box office.
Meanwhile, talking about her character in Munjya, Sharvari told ETimes, "My character is a modern girl who wants to achieve her dreams and prioritises them before everything else, which I think we all do nowadays. Many girls will relate to my character. Her dating life is also quite confusing, many girls will relate to that too. A very beautifully written character".
