Munjya Box Office Collection Day 4: Sharvari’s Film Refuses To Slow Down; Beats Mr and Mrs Mahi On 1st Monday

Munjya Box Office Collection Day 4: Sharvari and Abhay Verma have all the reasons to be on cloud nine. After all their recent collaboration Munjya has managed make the headlines ever since it was announced. Directed by Adiyta Sarpotdar, Munjya is a horror comedy which is a based on the legend of Munjya which is inspired by Indian folklore. Also starring Mona Singh, Suhas Joshi and Sathyaraj, Munjya is back with the fourth film of Maddock Supernatural Universe and it is already winning hearts.
Interestingly, not just the storyline and performance, Munjya has also been making heads turn for its incredible VFX and has opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics. Given the substantial buzz, Munjya saw an impressive start at the box office and raked in Rs 4 crores on the opening day. This isn't all. The first weekend also came with a significant hike in numbers and minted Rs 19.25 crores at the box office. In fact, it continues to have a strong hold at the box office during the first week as well.
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Munjya minted Rs 7.25 crores (day 2/ first Sunday) followed by another jump in numbers on day 3 (first Sunday) wherein the movie raked in Rs 8 crores. The media reports also suggested that Munjya saw a significant drop in numbers on day 4 (first Monday) but still held the ground. To note, Munjya minted Rs 3.75 crores on first Monday which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 23 crores.
Interestingly, Munjya saw just 6% drop in numbers from its opening day collections and is undoubtedly shining bright at the box office. This isn't all. This Sharvari-Abhay starrer horror comedy has managed to beat Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's Mr and Mrs Mahi which had earned Rs 2.15 crores. While Munjya is facing a competition from Mr and Mrs Mahi at the box office, it is definitely giving this Sharana Sharma directorial a tough time.
Meanwhile, talking about her character in Munjya, Sharvari told ETimes, "My character is a modern girl who wants to achieve her dreams and prioritises them before everything else, which I think we all do nowadays. Many girls will relate to my character. Her dating life is also quite confusing, many girls will relate to that too. A very beautifully written character".
