After all, his much anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule has finally hit the theatres and it has opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 is an action drama which also features Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj in the lead. For the uninitiated, Pushpa 2 is the sequel to the 2021 release Pushpa: The Rise.

While Allu Arjun reprised his role of Pushpa Raj, his chemistry with Rashmika (as Srivalli) has once again won hearts. As Pushpa 2 has managed to create massive buzz in the town, it witnessed a grand release across with world as it was reportedly released on over 12000 screens worldwide. After recording the highest advance booking collection in Hindi market, Pushpa 2 has witnessed a record shattering release. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 has crossed Rs 50cr mark and minted Rs 67 crores on the opening day for the Hindi version

Pushpa 2 Beats Jawan To Create A History

Interestingly, with such a stupendous opening at the Hindi box office, Pushpa 2 has created a history as it managed to beat Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster film Jawan. Yes! While Jawan had raked in Rs 65.5 crores on its day of release, Pushpa 2 has become the highest opener ever in the Hindi domain.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun got candid about Pushpa 2 breaking language barriers at a promotional event and stated, "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
