Pushpa 2 Box Office Day 17 (Hindi): Allu Arjun’s Film Beats Lifetime Collection Of Jawan; Creates A Record

Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection Day 17 (Hindi): As Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna collaborated for the second time in Pushpa 2: The Rule, the action drama has managed to set the box office on fire. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 is one of the biggest releases of the year and also features Fahadh Faasil playing the role of lead antagonist. From the star cast to trailer and even the songs, everything about Pushpa 2 has managed to make the headlines since the first day not only in India but across the world.

To note, Pushpa 2: The Rule had released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. Apart from recording the highest opener in the Hindi market, it has been giving a tough fight to the biggest blockbusters including Jawan, Pathaan, Baahubali 2, KGF Chapter 2, Stree 2 etc. And as Pushpa 2 has ventured into the third weekend, it is maintaining a strong hold at the box office in the Hindi market.

Pushpa 2 has been witnessing a continuous drop in collections during the weekdays. However, the weekend came with a slight hike in the collection. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 raked in Rs 11.3 crores on day 16 (third Friday) and saw a hike in collections on day 17 (third Saturday) wherein the movie raked in Rs 20 crores which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 652.9 crores.

Pushpa 2 Surpasses Jawan Lifetime Collection

Interestingly, Pushpa 2, which has managed to give every film a tough fight, has created a record of becoming the highest grossing film after beating Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. Yes! Pushpa 2 has surpassed the lifetime collection of Jawan which happens to be Rs 640.25 crores.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun got candid about Pushpa 2 breaking language barriers at a promotional event and stated, "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
