After all, he has finally taken over the big screen after three years as he came with his much anticipated release Pushpa 2: The Rule. The movie, which is directed by Sukumar, which is the sequel to the 2021 release Pushpa: The Rise which was also a box office hit. Apart from Allu Arjun in the titular role, Pushpa 2 also featured Rashmika Mandanna in the role of his love interest Srivalli along with Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, Fahadh Faasil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Sunil and Dhananjay in the lead.

Pushpa 2, which is one of the most anticipated releases of the year, has hit the theatres in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali languages. And while fans have been eagerly waiting for Pushpa 2, makers had started the advance booking days before release and it raked in the highest collection from the advance booking in the Hindi market. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 had minted a collection of Rs 70 crores in the Hindi market on the day of release. In fact, it has managed to beat Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan to record the highest opening day collection in Hindi.

Given the ongoing trend, Pushpa 2 is expected to have a strong hold at the box office today and is likely to enter the coveted Rs 100 crores club. The movie is expected to mint Rs 50-60 crores today and will touch Rs 120cr mark.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun got candid about Pushpa 2 breaking language barriers at a promotional event and stated, "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
