The movie, which is directed by Sukumar, is the much awaited sequel to the 2021 release Pushpa: The Rise. Pushpa 2: The Rule is an action drama and also features Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj in key roles. As Pushpa 2 was released amid massive buzz in the town in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages, it opened to rave reviews from audience and went on take the box office like a giant tsunami. In fact, Pushpa 2 has managed to a script history by recording the highest box office collection in the Hindi market and is also setting new records every day.

To note, Pushpa 2 went on to record the highest Sunday collection, highest day 4 collection, highest opening weekend collection and more. In fact, the overall collections of Pushpa 2 after four days stand at Rs 285.7 crores in the Hindi market. And while Pushpa 2 is expected to have a strong hold at the box office in the coming days, according to a report published in Sacnilk, this Allu Arjun starrer is expected to make a lifetime collection of Rs 750 crores in the Hindi market.

Pushpa 2 To Surpass Jawan's Lifetime Collection

If the reports turned out to be true, Pushpa 2 will beat the lifetime collection of Kalki 2898 AD and Jawaan to record the 4th highest lifetime collection of all time. For the uninitiated, Kalki 2898 AD made a lifetime collection of Rs 646.31 crores while Jawan raked in Rs 640.25 crores. It will be interesting to beat if it can beat Baahubali 2, KGF 2 and RRR which hold the top 3 positions respectively in the top 10 highest grossing films list.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun got candid about Pushpa 2 breaking language barriers at a promotional event and stated, "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
