Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandana, has been the talk of the town ever it was announced. This Sukumar directorial is an action drama and it has been one of the biggest and most expensive films of the country which is reportedly made with a budget of Rs 400-500 crores. Also starring Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Dhanajaya, Jagaoathi Babu, Rao Ramesh and Anasuya Bharadwaj in the lead, Pushpa 2 is the much talked about sequel to Pushap: The Rise.

Interestingly, Pushpa 2 witnessed a pan India release and had hit the screens in films Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. The movie opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics and has managed to take over the box office like a giant tsunami that is shattering box office records every day. In fact, after recording the highest opening day collection in Hindi, it has been giving Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan and Pathaan, which has been highest grossing films in Bollywood, a tough fight.

To note, after five days at the box office, the Hindi version of Pushpa 2 stands at Rs 331.7 crores. Interestingly, given the strong hold of Pushpa 2 in the Hindi market, there have been speculations about the movie's first week collection in the Hindi market. According to film business expert Rohit Jaiswal, "Pushpa 2 first extended week in HINDI is expected to touch ₹420cr-₹425cr".

Pushpa 2 To Beat Shah Rukh Khan's Record

If the reports turned out to be true, Pushpa 2 will reportedly beat Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Pathaan who have the record of highest week 1 collection. Yes! Pushpa 2 is set to record the highest week 1 collection in the Hindi market soon. For the uninitiated, Jawan had made a collection of Rs 347.98 crores, while Pathaan earned Rs 351 crores in week 1. It is evident that Allu Arjun's film is set to beat Shah Rukh Khan's record of having highest grossing week 1 collection at the box office

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun got candid about Pushpa 2 breaking language barriers at a promotional event and stated, "Doing a Hindi film was such a huge thing even to aspire for. We used to have that thing that, 'Maybe in our lifetime we will do one Hindi film'. It was that far away for us to do the Hindi film. So from that mindset to coming to this stage and standing here is a very big thing for me".
